Parent Resources
Family Involvement
Parents and family members are welcome in the classroom at any time to observe or spend time with their child. Children love to share the experience of school with their families. Some examples of ways you can be involved include:
- Lending objects for units of study
- Coming in to talk about a special skill or job
- Volunteering in the classroom or on the bus
- Attending family events
- Working with the Northside Parent Educator
Daily Communications
To keep you informed of your child’s day. Families will receive a daily progress report of your child’s activities. Daily progress report will include information of the things participated in, meals eaten, naps and upcoming events.
Parent Conferences
Conferences are an important way of sharing valuable information with parents and families. Lead Teachers are expected to conduct a minimum of two parent-teacher conferences a year. Every effort should be made to meet with each family. A copy of the parent-teacher conference form must be placed in the child’s file after the conference. The Lead Teacher should discuss suitable times to hold conferences with the Director.
